draggable labels - basically works, but still a bit buggy

problems:
 - the drag pixmap gets corrupted somehow
 - dragging to other plots causes the extents to be temporarily broken
 - the pixmap is centred around the hotspot, but drawn (top,left) at the
   hotspot after the drop.  (which should we change?)
