Hi there,<br>
<br>
I am working on my patches and I got some troubles with my virtual
machine so I had to reconfigure it several times.<br>
So now, I am working on Debian Sid (unstable).<br>
<br>
<b>Build instructions</b><br>
I am build KPhotoAlbum with these instructions
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://userbase.kde.org/Building_KPhotoAlbum">https://userbase.kde.org/Building_KPhotoAlbum</a> <br>
They are nearly perfect. For Debian Sid, the package "gettext" is
missing in the chapter "Preparations before building". I don't have
a Phabricator login, so if someone can update the documentation.
(Otherwise, I will create an acocunt, but no tonigth)<br>
<br>
<b>HTML Export get stuck<br>
</b>So, I set my VM, build KPhotoAlbum, start it with the demo set
of picture.<br>
I try to create a HTML gallery using the function "File =>
Generate HTML..." And the generation get stuck with no eror message.
In the "Background Job Viewer" I have one task "Read Video Length"
which doesn't finish.<br>
This is certainly because neither <b>ffmpeg</b> nor <b>avconv</b>
are install on the machine. If I install ffmpeg, I revolve this
issue.<br>
<b><br>
</b>I don't know how you work, should I put it in the bugtracker
(<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://bugs.kde.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=kphotoalbum">https://bugs.kde.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=kphotoalbum</a> ?)
or report it to the mailing list ?<br>
<br>
Well, two complains and no patch, not a good mail, sorry for that.<br>
<br>
Cheers,<br>
<br>
Samuel Kay<br>
