I am not sure what this might mean for the usefulness of KPhotoAlbum in the long run, as I suspect that lots of things might modify .thumbnails. I will try to look into it a bit more later. I am using my laptop. I had copied all my KAlbum stuff from my desktop computer to an external drive which is now attached to the laptop.
