[KPhotoAlbum] Improved Image Viewer? [PATCH]

Well there is three problems to branching.
1) I don't have enough time to maintain two branches, so I would have to let
one branch down.

2) History has shown numerous times that as soon as I've accepted a patch into
the code, people kind of keep interest in maintaining it. this means that I
need to test patches with new features *before* they go into the code. With
me focusing on the release, this would just be problems piling up for me.

3) If I branches, everyone using SVN would be using the new cool branch, and
the release would be even less tested before released.

Hope that answers your question.

| There's something I don't get with this message, that's not the first time.
| Maybe this question has already been asked, so excuse me in advance in this
| case.
|
| Why don't you just use the svn branches/tags/trunk principles to work with
| this kind of problems? It would just need to tag a, say beta, of KPA-2.2,
| which would the one to be frozen until a KPA2.2-final is reached, and that
| would this path translators and others would use. While this, you could
| keep making the trunk evolve in the directions you want.
|
| Maybe it's because you don't have enough time to manage different KPA
| versions, what I would completely understand. So please just let us know
| why. If you have question about svn, don't hesitate (though I guess that's
| not the problem).
