The fact that KimDaBa is *self-contained* is what attracted me to it. 
Programs similar to KimDaBa require setting up a real database and / or
webservers.  I'm not interested in that, I just want a quick and easy
way to find a specific picture among the thousands on my disk.  KimDaBa
does exactly that.

If Torben's feature can be added to KimDaBa without forcing me to use a
database or server (via compile time options or plugins or some other
magic) that would be cool.  Please don't overlook the appeal that
simplicity has.  :^)
