i committed a patch that, by default, allows the use of KeypadEnter to send
messages. If you haven't changed the send shortcut from the default, you should
see the change. It'll be in KDE 4.2.2.

Also, with KDE 4.2.1, I was able to do a 'Configure Shortcuts' in the chat
window and set the 'Send Message' shortcut to KeypadEnter in addition to normal
'Enter'. Note that the shortcut must be set from a chat window. setting the
same shortcut from the contact list won't work.
