I can confirm this on
Arch Linux
kdemod-kdenetwork-kopete 4.2.1
(no Fedora and nor rpm)
This does NOT occur with
kdemod-kdenetwork-kopete 3.5.10

How to reproduce:
Change the KDE color scheme in "systemsettings" to something very different.
For example if you have the standard, use the very dark "Obsidian Coast" scheme
and apply it.

Description of the issue:
Note how everything changes correctly, except the alternating list background
colour. So every second entry in your content still has a white background,
while your whole desktop uses very dark backgrounds. This is quite annoying
because you keep testing different colours, because Kopete doesn't seem to fit.
If you restart Kopete after the color scheme change, everything is fine with
the contact list colours.
