When Kopete tries to connect to ICQ, I get the message:

<ICQnumber> wurde getrennt.
Der ICQ-Server ist der Meinung, Sie verwenden einen zu alten Client. Melden Sie
dies bitte als Fehler unter http://bugs.kde.org

which I would translate to

<ICQnumber> was disconnected.
The ICQ-Server thinks you are using a too old client. Please report this at
http://bugs.kde.org

I've been using Kopete every day, and this occurred today (9 March) for the
first time. The error message appears quickly after every connection attempt.
