If I understand this correctly, the user is saying Kopete crashed when they clicked the Settings menu item. (Perhaps this can be confirmed by looking at the backtrace? I don't know how to interpret those.) If this is what the user is saying, I can't reproduce it.

Using Kopete 0.12.7 with KDE 3.5.9 on Kubuntu 8.04.
