<p>I found this to be working in Fedora WS 31.</p>

<h2 class="remarkup-header">starting Konsole with     konsole --background-mode --hide-menubar      and manually bound 'Toggle Background Window' under Global Shortcuts > Konsole to     WINDOWS-F</h2>
