Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question, but I didnt
receive answers elsewhere (e.g. comp.windows.x.kde).<br>

I recently had problems with the way used by Konsole to manage its <br>
window title: it broke my application (that previosuly run under Eterm)
- that used a fairly standard <br>
approach to set a terminal name <br>
(i.e. : print "\033]0;$termname\007" ) <br>
<br>
For my application it is most important to know the exact terminal name
of the terminal it is running into, to <br>
be able to interact with it (due to a call to "import", from
ImageMagick package). <br>
<p>Even the command: <br>
dcop "$KONSOLE_DCOP_SESSION" renameSession "New Title" <br>
is useless, since it sets the window title to: <br>
"path - New Title - Konsole" <br>

<p>do you know any way to set the window title to a string - and just
that <br>
string, without path - and without - Konsole ??? <br>
