I see that the crash seems to happen in some plugin, but I can't find anywhere
to disable or enable/add or remove plugins. Am I hitting a bug, or isn't there
a way to do this?

There has also been some regression in performance (delaying time-to-first-show
noticeably), so it would be nice to test if this is the root cause. It seems
plausible because the normal launch code doesn't seem to take much longer.
