I confirm this issue.

In my case, the only working fonts are Dejavu and Monospace. All of the other
fonts have this issue, like Droid Sans Mono, Ubuntu Mono, Adobe Source Code
Pro, Fantasque Sans Mono.

While this doesn't occur in xterm.
