I just wondered why I do not have Konsole transparency any longer, and found
this bug report. I went into systemsettings -> desktop appearance -> window
decorations -> Configure Decoration -> Shadows (translated from German),
disabled Drop-Down Shadow, and the transparency is back.

Using 4.7.1 now on Gentoo Linux, but I'm pretty sure it also happened with 4.7.

The interesting thing: I activated the shadow in order to see what I would be
missing, and: The shadows are back, and so is the transparency! So, turning
shadows off cures from the problem, and turning on again does not make it
re-appear.

I did not log out yet to see if this cure is permanent, though, and cannot do
so right now because I hav a VM running. But I will come back here in case the
problem reappears.

Can someone reopen the bug?
