Summary: Konsole scrollback history tempspace consumption
           Product: konsole
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Debian testing
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konsole-devel at kde.org
        ReportedBy: kdebugs at CustomCDROM.de

Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

I use Konsole with an unlimited scrollback buffer size.

In this mode, Konsole consumes quite a bit of space in the temp file system,
which is no problem in its own right.

However, Konsole does not free this space any more, not even if all scrollback
buffers are reset using the corresponding menu entry. I have to close all open
tabs and restart Konsole to get my temp space back. :-(

This is a huge regression compared to Konsole in KDE 3.5.9 where it would
suffice to "clear all history buffers" or whatever the menu entry was called to
free up all temp space used with a single mouse click.
