try renaming your konsole session to--> "#$%^&*(){}][¹@£$½¾{[]}\| <--/to

xor to --> testing & co <-- /to

and you'll notice that the --> & <--/the sign doesn't get displayed.

(xor at least on the system/with the version I'm running)
