<p>First, if you want to use the already encrypted file, you need to
copy the private key from the old to the new PC. Just using the
same name and email to create a new key will create a different
key. If it didn't work that way, then anyone could recreate your
private key, just knowing your username and email address.</p>
<p>I don't have KMM handy to test, but I do remember that you have
to be very careful when trying to save an encrypted file as
unencrypted. However, was they file encrypted by KMyMoney or by
Kleopatra? If the latter, then just use Kleopatra to make an
unencrypted copy of the file.</p>
