Hey, I tested here and I tryed to compare the same scene with the
same brushes on both master and your branch ; <br>
and surprisingly , I have better performance with master ... even
really noticable. <br>

I don't have any program test to run to check performances , but as
a visual feedback , your branch makes in the 'system monitor' the
CPUs usage curves never reach 30% of the total high of the graph ;
where in master the curves grows a bit more than 50%. <br>

My test is with the same file , same brush , same movement. <br></div></blockquote><div><br>Well, the system monitor may show such results because the updater may optimize the process and make the total amount of work less. Anyway, i'll have to take measurements tomorrow =)<br>
