With GIMP lacking in terms of brush engine and MyPaint having no<br>
selections or transparency locking and lots of other things I need at<br>
some point, Krita looks like it could become my tool of choice. It's<br>
certainly impressive and heading in the right direction.<br>

Testing a recent SVN version, what spoiled the fun for me right after<br>
performance issues (which could be just the build), was picking colors.<br>
I sometimes need to pick and paint repeatedly to smooth things out. The<br>
fastest way I found was switching tools with P and B key. That breaks<br>
the flow.<br>

GIMP (and AFAIR Photoshop) allow temporary switching to the color picker<br>
from any paint tool by holding Ctrl. MyPaint has picking a color bound<br>
to a key (R), making it a single action instead of a tool. Would you<br>
please consider to implement one of these approaches?<br>
