I’m Thorsten Wilms, a designer from Germany. I have been drawing as far
back as I can remember. I’m a Free Software user and sometimes
contributor. For example, the Free Softare audio application Ardour
bears my logo and has a few GUI-details following my designs. During my
professional training I worked with Freehand, Illustrator, Photoshop,
QuarkXpress and Indesign. Nowadays Inkscape and GIMP are my main tools.
Lately also Scribus and Krita, for example this cover I created fo a
client
https://www.amazon.com/Hebrides-Tide-H-Inglis-ebook/dp/B0CQMKLZ6Q (no
affiliate link).

I’m not offering some random opinion, but a different perspective,
because what made it to the outside regarding Krita and AI sounded
awfully like the result of an echo-chamber. I posted that link because,
if you really entertain the thought that generative AI might be a fad,
you _may_ not have seen much beyond simple promt-driven generation.
