Status update

I did my darndest get it done, but even though most code has been
ported -- only the wet paint op and the flow simulation needs to
be done -- the integration with the rest of Krita is posing a lot
issues:

* I want to initialize areas before painting, so the data manager
needs to callback the colour strategy to initialize the newly
added autoextended rect.

* There needs to be a permanently running filter that takes advantage
of a second cpu (whether real or hyper threaded) or of idle time
to simulate drying and flowing.

* Filters, tools and other UI elements need to advertise with which
types of colour strategy they are compatible: you don't want to
airbrush pixels onto a wet paint device, the current three colour
selectors are useless for wet paint. So, on layer change, parts
of the ui must be enabled/disabled.

* Likewise, only some kinds of paint ops are useful for a wet canvas,
so I really need the tool ui redesign we discussed some time ago.

* For some kinds of visual effects -- the selection mask is one,
a visualisation of the wetness of paint is another -- we need to have post-
process filters on the pixmap that's put on the screen.

And there are a few other things I've noted in the todo in the wet
colormodel module.

By the way, I've tried to enter the contents of the 1.4 todo file in
Bugzilla, but waiting ten minutes or more for every bug because the
wizard wants to query the ton of bugs already in the database took too
long; so the 1.4 todo list is our bug list of things that need to be
resolved.

I hope we can get most of those problems cleared away, Krita is already
in a far better state than I dared to hope when we committed to the
current release schedule, but there's plenty left to do.

The Krita hackathon, by the way, will be in the week I mooted earlier,
25 to 30 July -- I propose the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for
hacking, so people who want to go to Amsterdam have the weekend following
for that.

I'm still working on a topic for a talk for the Malaga Akademy; something
user-oriented, and I hope I can use the progress we make during the hackathon
to add spice to the talk.

Well, that's it... If anyone has a feature we need to have in the release,
please commit tonight, before 23:59 Bering Street time... After that,
it testing & fixing time!

Boudewijn
