I checked it out yesterday evening. It's an interesting thing, and it made me 
wonder if we could gain some direct performance benefits from optionally 
using a Qt openGL widget to paint our images instead of a QPainter and 
QPixmap. It might save us the conversion from QImage to QPixmap.
