Same issue here. Ca. 10 seconds delay for the file dialog. After deleting the 

<bookmark href="kdeconnect ...>
  ...
</bookmark>

entries in user-places.xbel it opens fast, again. There were 1787 kdeconnect
related entries there out of a total of 1821.
