Nice, that works! Thank you. This way one can simply create a shortcut via
right click on KDE icon in bottom left -> Edit applications... with the Command
set to e.g.:
QT_SCALE_FACTOR=2 dolphin ~/Movies

It would still be very useful to have this as an option.
Furthermore the space between the icons is too large.
