I have upgraded to Kexi 2.8.5 successfully. <br>
<br>
The problem described below remains unchanged. <br>
<br>
I cannot imagine that anyone who is facing this issue would want to
use Kexi in this condition. Let's say a table has 500 rows, and you
are looking at row #230. If your cursor happens to cross the border
between the table data and the project manager (as inevitably occurs
in the process of normal work), the table abruptly jumps to row
number one. It becomes impossible to do any work. Please let me know
about this.<br>
<br>
Thanks,<br>

<pre wrap="">I have been using Kexi for many years. Recently I upgraded to the latest
Ubuntu, 14.04. The version of Kexi available in the 14.04 Ubuntu Software
Center has a serious problem. Any time the cursor crosses the border between
the Project Navigator and the Table Data, the table abruptly jumps to the
beginning. This is extremely disruptive to doing any work in the table.
Please kindly let me know how this matter can be resolved.

Hi, thanks for the contact.
Kexi 2.8 (the newer, the better, currently released is 2.8.5,
available in <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/ppa/kubuntu_updates?dist=trusty">http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/ppa/kubuntu_updates?dist=trusty</a>
and it's mentioned at
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://userbase.kde.org/Calligra/Download#Kubuntu">https://userbase.kde.org/Calligra/Download#Kubuntu</a> too) has fixed a
series of similar bugs:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329892#c1">https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329892#c1</a>
I hope this is the one you're reporting.
I mentioned Kubuntu but you're not forced to change desktop to Plasma
by KDE. You'd be just able to update Kexi as well.

Look at the drop-down Help menu "?" button near the top-right Search field:

Also, typing 'kexi --version' in console can disclose the info.
