I run into a similar thing every once in a while with Eclipse starting an Eclipse application. Since that app uses a fixed workspace and a workspace can only ever be used by one instance of Eclipse I get a notification when I try to start the second instance. Most of the time I'm glad Eclipse doesn't just kill the already running instance to start a new one, since I simply forgot I still had it running.</p></pre>
