Oh! Thanks for the information. It is really cool to see the Kontact apps get some love :)

Are there any plans to integrate all that finally with KDE's 'Online Accounts'?

physkets

25. You can add Google Contacts and Calendar sync resources in KAdressBook and KOrganizer respectively. This will be addressed in the future when all resources will share the same tokens.

Sending is also currently implemented completely separately from the IMAP sync, and the Oauth support is not implemented there yet, but it's in the pipeline for next release. We need to modernize the way we do SMTP first :)

Dan

From: physkets@tutanota.com
Sent: April 25, 2017 5:39 PM
To: kdepim-users@kde.org
Subject: OAuth2 in Akonadi
Hi,

I'm using KDE under Manjaro. I just received the 17.04 update of KDE Apps.
As soon as I logged in, Akonadi performed an OAuth2 request for access to
Gmail, which is great! I had been using Kontact with Gmail's insecure app-
password, all this while.

But now, when it performed the OAuth request, Akonadi only requested access to
email; it did not ask for access to the calendar or contacts. Anyone know why?
Isn't Akonadi the server of Kontact?

Also, this has only been added as a receiving account.. How do I add it to sending, as well?

physkets
