</div>I am having the same problem, and it's intermittent. For example, right now<br>
I have changed an identity for a top-level folder ('inbox') of an IMAP account.<br>
After closing and restarting kmail once, the identity setting was preserved.<br>
At this point, I've made a copy of kmailrc. After closing and restarting again,<br>
the identity on that folder was reset to 'Default'. The difference in config<br>
file is below. Any idea what could be wrong?<br>

(This happens on Kubuntu 9.10, and I can poke with a debugger given rough idea<br>
where to look).<br>
