<pre wrap="">Hi
Using KMail 1.9.9. (with KDE 3.5.9.) on a Debian Lenny/Testing system,
the option to set the preferred manner of forwarding emails seems to
have been deprecated. I remember that before the upgrade I was able to
set the preferred forwarding options globally (I prefer in-line).
However, now it seems to default to forwarding emails as an attachment,
unless I manually set the preference at the time I forward via the
Message menu.
How do I change this so that I can revert to my preferred way of
forwarding as an in-line message rather than as an attachment?

<pre wrap="">I don't ever recall seeing an option to set that globally, but a more
convenient way than using the menu is to hold the forward button until
the choices appear, then drag down to Inline. HTH

<pre wrap="">Thanks Anne. My memory may be faulty, but IIRC prior to the latest
upgrade I could click on the icon and the message was automatically
forward in-line. Post upgrade, I click on the icon and the message is
forwarded is sent an attachment. What the difference is, I can't say. As
stated, my preference was for the former. Doing as you suggest is not a
lot of extra work, but it is a bit of hassle.

<pre wrap=""><!---->I'm always reluctant to trust my memory, but I tend to agree that the default
in some other version was inline. I did look a kmailrc, but couldn't see any
reasonable place there to change it either.

Yep you're right Anne - I can't see anything relevant in kmailrc
either. I'm glad that your memory seems to resonate with my own about
the previous in-line. Have you recently upgraded too? If so, I am
wondering if this might be a bug (or is that a feature? :) )<br>
