Same issue here. Changes I made to contacts in KAddressBook haven't propagated
to GMail. I tried to delete the whole address book and add the new one to no
avail - Address Books list is empty. When restarting akonadi, I can see an
error in the output: "Bad request, Google replied ' "Contacts API is being
deprecated. Migrate to People API to retain programmatic access to Google
Contacts. See https://developers.google.com/people/contacts-api-migration." '"

Seeing the bug is 1 year old, hopefully it will get fixed soon.
