I think I have the same bug on a Wayland session: 
Clicking on a different mail/folder doesn't highlight the selected folder/mail;
I have to move the cursor around.
Moreover, there are like 2 or three mails at the bottom of the mail list, that
stay there even after selecting another folder. Am using the classic folder
list w/o preview.
