Malfunction persists with kmail 5.0.2 on KF 15.08.2.
The IMAP server info in the account dialog is 

IMAP4REV1
ID
LITERAL+
IDLE
QUOTA
NAMESPACE
SORT
UIDPLUS
UNSELECT

if it may be helpful. If you instruct me how to get useful information, I would
be happy to follow your steps.
