After downloading/instaling updates, I got an error message about broken
packages.  kmail program would not open.  I tried "recovery mode" at startup to
repair broken packages.  but it didn't help.  Useing the sudo command I
downloaded updates and upgrades but that didn't help either.  I also
uninstalled and reinstalled kmail.
