I have seen this behavior under some circumstances too so i am changing this
title and leaving it open. On rare occasions it is possible (by fiddeling with
the keyboard and thus triggering the resolution change) that a new window does
not have the correct resolution and is drawn only on half the screen as a
result.

Keeping this bug on needsinfo for someone to find a way to reproduce this.
