I wanted to provide a more meaningfull backtrace, so I recompiled kmail with
-ggdb, without strong optimization and without stripping the binary afterwards.
 But it is as it always is with crashes in application written in C or C++.  As
soon as you try to debug them, they will work just fine. ;-)

So with debugging flags enabled, I can preview the mails that always crashed
kmail.
