It did not worked for me ever. I have defined only one identity, five receiving
accounts and four sending accounts.

In the compose template, through the toolbar, I can select Message > Send Mail
Via > and then select the account from the popup list of sending accounts. 

However, if I try to send the email clicking the Send Mail Via button in the
compose template, it works the same as the Send button. It does not allow to
select any account and the email is sent through the default account.
