I'm attempting to migrate from KDE3 to KDE4 on FreeBSD 7. Kmail data works
under kde3.5.10. When I change my .xinitrc file to use startkde4, the new kmail
from kde4.1.1 loads up the old kmail data. All mail looks correct. I have 3
pop3 accounts that I check, with two set for "leave messages on server". 

The problem is that when switching between kmail3 and kmail4, the program
version that is running doesn't recognize that the email has already been
downloaded. The message-id strings are identical. What ever version is running
flags the duplicated messages as unread.
