Unable to reproduce with kmail 1.10.1 and Courier IMAP.
Could be the specific filter being used as well.

Test taken to try and reproduce on both imap and dimap.

Have folder with ~250 email messages.
Create filter to move email messages to folder on arrival (To: <receiver> Move
to: <folder>)
Generated 100 new email messages.

The new email messages were moved to the proper folder and remained unread.

I think we need the specific filter being used to attempt to reproduce
accurately.
