Summary: kmail maximises itself and checks email on kde startup
if the 'use system tray icon' option is selected
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: tim.harris at redhillconsulting.com.au

Version: 1.10 (using KDE 4.1.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

The problem of kmail maximising itself when kde starts if you have selected the
'use system tray icon' option seems to have been raised in bug [73591] and it
would appear that a patch has been created but that was almost a year ago and
this patch certainly does not appear in the current version of kmail. I would
like to see this patch applied to kmail 1.10 please as this is a really really
annoying behaviour of kmail.

So now on to my real request.
I would like to request a delayed mail check on start up feature to give my
wireless time to establish a connection.

If i am using the kmail system tray, when kde first starts, kmail starts and
checks for new mail. Unfortunately this usually happens before my wireless
connetion has been established and so I get an error message. If I am using the
system tray for kmail then it will check for new mail when kde first starts
regardless of whether or not I have checked the 'check mail on start up' option
and besides which, I DO want kmail to check mail on start up I just want it to
give me the option of delaying it for a couple of minutes.

Thanks for all your efforts. kmail rocks.
