<p>I have figured out that this happens quite inconsistent,
sometimes the program crashes on me, sometimes it does not. But
what I found out is that it crashes more often when I start the
playback from the beginning of the clip, also it happens more
frequently if I use the Affine transition, and having more
rotoscoping points also makes a difference. I have not seen it
crashing if there is no single color background. It looks like
once it crashed, it will always crash, but it is not bound to the
video, it looks like it is bound to the shape I put the nodes in,
but I do not know how the libraries work, nor do I know how
kdenlive works, so this is just speculation based on what happened
to me.<br>

Kdenlive crashed reproducibly in version 18.04.1 using
the AppImage on Ubuntu 16.04 when trying to playback a
video with the rotoscoping effect. So I went to the
website and read how to do a bug report (<a

rel="noreferrer" target="_blank"
moz-do-not-send="true">https://kdenlive.org/en/bug-r<wbr>eports/</a>),
installed the packages and because I could not use the
repo version of Ubuntu I started it with "gdb
Kdenlive.AppImage run" (Kdenlive is in ~/bin), gdb told
me that it found nothing, therefore Kdenlive did not
start. Is there a way to report a bug with backtrace
using the AppImage or should I just go ahead and compile
it myself?<br>

it gives a message when it crashes.</div>

step what you are doing when you get the crash to try to
