some more info as a followup on this:<br>

I've created a completely new user on the other machine, i.e., no stale<br>
preferences or anything from an old kdenlive version. Segfaults on the<br>
new machine every time.<br>
<br>
Also build the exact same versions that I have running locally (and that<br>
do work for me) -- they work on my local machine, but also segfault on<br>
the other machine. No idea what's going on.<br>

Any help is greatly appreciated.<br>
