Guess what, <br>
I did a "sudo apt-get install language-pack-kde-de
language-pack-kde-de-base language-pack-kde-nl
language-pack-kde-nl-base" and set in KDE ->system Settings my
default language to dutch. Now kdenlive starts in Dutch.<br>
<br>
Live is great: (Using linux) you learn every day.<br>
(Sorry Varol: I realized that I replied directly to you instead of to
the forum).<br>

Thanks for the reply. I set both the LANG and LANGUAGE environment
setting to (in order of try-out): German (de_DE), italian (it_IT) and
frech (fr_FR) using export LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 and export LANGUAGE=...
(and likewise for the other languages). <br>
Neither of them was picked up by kdenlive.<br>
I'm always using default english on my systems, so I realize that when
it comes to
language settings I'm a complete newbie (even after over 15 years of
using linux).<br>

Hey,<br>
<br>
in general Qt picks up the LANG environment. Simply set it to the
iso639 country code and restart kdenlive.<br>
For Dutch this would be "nl"<br>
<br>
It is alos possible to set this progamatically though I don't know if
kdenlive has this built in. In my Application ( QDVDAuthor ) you can
set it from the Main Menu as well.<br>
<br>
Hope that helped <br>
<br>
Varol :)<br>

I suppose this is a stupid question, but where can I set/choose the
language to use within kdenlive. I can't find it anywhere. <br>
I'm working on a dutch translation, but I don't know where to select it
(or any other language) within kdenlive<br>
