I'm not running bleeding-edge kdenlive, so I can't be sure this hasn't been fixed. But with v18.12.3 this is definitely an issue. Repro:

  - Create a new project
  - Add a long video to the timeline
  - Use the razor tool to cut the video somewhere, e.g. halfway through
  - Add a Speed effect to the second (later) clip - set it to 200%
  - Zoom all the way in on the timeline

The frame previews are all from a previous point in the video. E.g. with a cut 20 mins in and at 200% speed, the frame previews are from the 10 minute point in the video.

Hello everyone,

thanks a lot for all the work that goes into Kdenlive. It's my favourite video editor by far and I'm so glad that I'm able to edit complex video on Linux and I'm not tied to commercial products anymore with all their fees and bad privacy!

I wanted to give the Kdenlive 20.04 beta a try to give some feedback :) Everything worked fine while editing, I used rc2 and it felt very stable. However, I edited a 4K-portrait video in 9:16 format, which looked fine in the preview monitor. But after exporting, I got a regular 16:9 landscape video with all my transformations messed up. When I opened the project in my installed Kdenlive 19.12.3 (Arch Linux) the video looked also messed up in the preview monitor. I was able to correct the transformations and after exporting again, everything looked fine. So maybe the preview monitor in the new beta displays something else then what is written to the file? Just a wild guess, everything else worked flawlessly :)

If anyone is interested in my project files, I'm of course ready to send them privately :)

Yes that would be much appreciated. I tried with a sample project but 
could not reproduce. The .kdenlive project file should be enough to 
understand the problem. You can mail it to me on my @kdenlive.org address.

I've filed a bug about audio de-sync caused by use of the "Pitch shift on
speed change" feature. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419461
I can now repro this is the 20.04-rc2 build and git master.

There are a lot of updates to the bug as it took me a while to lock down
what was happening, and create a simple repro project. I've invested a lot
of time (as this is a feature I care about a lot), but I lack the kdenlive
knowledge to work out whether the bug is in kdenlive or melt.

I'm happy to do plenty more work debugging this, but I'm not going to be
able to root-cause it or fix it alone.

OBS has a completely different use case from Kdenlive. They aren't
supposed to do the same thing. OBS is a pretty great tool however.

What about Debian? Some compatibility with it instead of depending on

software" (software libre) and the second one does not confuse by «free

Well, in spanish "libre" (free) talks mainly about freedom and not about
gratis (zero money).
By this way, when in spanish you say «código abierto» (open source) you
are clearly talking about something that it could give no freedom but
the right to see souce code.

Whenever I try to render my video, the greenscreen parts are always messed up. Its hard to explain however the main issues is that when I view the final product in the software there are no issues, however when I render it to download is when it lags out.

Subject: Proxy Issues turning video white with 20.04

Hi I have a questions. I just downloaded Kdenlive 20.04 and when I proxy
any clips that I import it turns the video white. Is there something that I
am doing wrong? Or a setting that I need to change?
