From informatica at actiu.net Sun Jul 5 18:42:59 2015 From: informatica at actiu.net (Narcis Garcia) Date: Sun, 05 Jul 2015 20:42:59 +0200 Subject: [kdenlive] Cannot edit 'Auto mask' effect Message-ID: Hello, I'm using Kdenlive 0.9.10 I create a new project, put a single clip in timeline, and add effect "Auto Mask" to it. In the project monitor a yellow rectangle is shown, but the only thing I can do is moving the red point in the middle to move rectangle position. I don't see angle points to resize the square, and in the effects stack I cannot edit any size nor position parameter (appears readonly). Because of this, I cannot perform what it's shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD0WOsX6B5A What can be happening? Thanks. Not that the money would go to kdenlive specifically, and you can't promise that - just say that people can add that comment. It will show how much support Kdenlive gets and while all KDE money is for all KDE projects, this can and probably should have an impact on sponsorship decisions. Plus, it makes you feel good ;-) You could even ask KDE e.V. If they could make sure that people can add comments like that to donations and if they can add that to that page. But I think it's already possible. Second - do more fundraisers. Use it for Randa, use it for other things like a 'custom' summer of code or something. It isn't just to get money - people LIKE to support a project, it makes them more dedicated fans. So you help them by letting them help you ;-) Cheers, Jos -- Disclaimer: Everything I do and say is based on my view of the world today. Upgrading would bring you many fixes in all KDE & multimedia stack. And note that we don't have volunteers to continue supporting KDE4 version (0.9.x), we are focusing our efforts on KF5 track now (packaged in Ubuntu, Arch, Fedora)... Cheers, Vincent --- Original message --- Hi i have used kdenlive and it crashed, here ill send you the report cause i wasnt able to do it through the assistent (see screenshot)... Few month after the 1st campaign, neither JB and I were sure to be able to keep Kdenlive alive, and money does not motivate us. But as we are getting more and more on boat with KDE community, we now are eager to travel to gatherings (Akademy, Randa and others). For that I can't spend too much of my (little) (family) money (in addition to the many hours I offer). So yes, asking people to fund our sprints & conferences is now a good contribution we can ask. Let's start with annual KDE Randa meetings fundraising campaign in few days? Cheers, Vincent. It is automatically the smoothest curve fitted to a set of data points: your keyframes' time position and value. We just need to figure out how to emulate this using a Bezier curve, but I have not been able to look into this deeply. I did a Google search on "simulate catmull-rom using bezier." A search result led me to this nice article: http://schepers.cc/getting-to-the-point In it he refers to the same Anti-Grain Geometry code I referred to. :-) However, it looks like he also pulled it together into a concise, more readable javascript version. Also, see this comment in the MLT code about how additional points before the first and after the last are needed: https://github.com/mltframework/mlt/blob/master/src/framework/mlt_property.c#L1072 The code following that (mlt_property_interpolate) handles transitions between different types of interpolation. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
