Today I'm editing with Kdenlive 0.9.10 and don't find a feature that I
believe it was in older versions. I've looking for this in the manual
and world wide web, but don't find the way to work with it:

I see in the "Clip jobs" submenu are generated MLT files to be included
in the project tree, in a similar way as I am asking, but only for 3
effects (Stabilize, scene split, reverse) and not for timeline works.

MLT has several dependencies, we have setup a page on the wiki to document its 
compilation: 
https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Development/KF5#Compiling_MLT_with_Qt5_support

However I never saw that configure problem. Which MLT version is this ? 
Could this be an issue in with the CI not starting the configure script from 
the correct directory ? 

The first error comes from this line in configure:
cat < mlt-config-template >> mlt-config

So I don't really have an answer for that, but I am willing to help if I can, 
because there will probably be other issues. You can contact me by mail, I 
have some spare time until monday, or is there another channel where I can 
help ?

Hi, it calls the command from ${WORSPACE} which in this case is

/home/jenkins/builds/mlt

Coincidently if I type in ./configure from jenkins build step it configures fine, but our build
system fails. ( python scripts that builds/syncs etc ) So perhaps python is doing something funky.
This is the only job that fails like this though.. I tried in the python scripts config file:
{sources}/configure
./configure
{sources}/configure .

All failed. I am not entirely sure why our build scripts don't like this one.

Unfortunately, your output is not of much help.  Can you send a 
stack-trace?  That would be better....

Are you running as a separate and distinct user on each seat?  Are you 
sure that each instance of Kdenlive is pointing to it's own 
home-directory (for settings, temp files etc)?

I've installed Kdenlive 0.9.10 in some computers with Ubuntu 14.04, and
the first-start wizard says that libdv is not installed.
There is a "libdv4" package installed, but doesn't seem to be recognized
as useful for this.

I've tried with libdv-bin too, but no success with that wizard.

If you have the Avformat module, there is no need to worry. the DV module was 
useful with the first generation digital camcorders that recorded in DV. The 
Avformat module can also handle DV files now.
The wizard shows "DV module" missing when MLT has been compiled without the DV 
module. So you would need to install libdv4-dev and recompile MLT if for some 
reason you really it.

The libdv module in MLT is deprecated since v0.9.2 (almost a year). This
means they are no longer a part of the default make target, and one can
only explicitly compile them afterwards using "make -C src/modules/dv".
This also means most mlt packages no longer will include the DV module, and
the check for it in Kdenlive should be removed.

Does Kdenlive provide some form of protective atomic actions?

For instance, if I'm cutting a clip and I am dragging the clip I'm 
cutting then kdenlive should not permit dragging the clip nor be 
referencing it at a later stage.

This is something i think is really needed with kdenlive but don't think 
would be too difficult to implement.

Thank you so much for guidance, and for selecting my proposal for GSoC
this year.
I am extremely glad and excited to work on this project this summer.

I know the community bonding period has started which will end on May
25th. But I have my end semester exams till 14th May. So I'll not be
able to dedicate as much time as I'd like till May14, although I can
spare an hour each day for discussions and talks. I hope that's not
going to affect anything

Please tell me if there is any specific time we should set for these
discussions.
