Yes, I could open plenty other windows. Point is, that does not
enhance productivity, at least not for me. Why should I have a
vectorscope there? If I do colour correction, I need all scopes anyway
and display all of them.
I try to put everything away that is not necessary. In order to have
maximum size for each widget. Navigation in the Composite is more
precise, the Project Tree needs less scrolling and shows more of the
file name, and so on. I could also put the Transition and Effect Stack
widgets side by side, but I cannot edit a transition and an effect
simultaneously anyway, so I stack them (kdenlive automatically
displays the correct widget when selecting a clip or a transition).

Commercial success does not imply a perfect interface. I would say it
is rather the case that After Effects has a little more effects which
also are a little better than for example ours.

But not changed directly. We could avoid the need to press an additional button.
