shadows are used vastly, mainly as part of the object (like in this 
latest icon I made) and some times away to emphasis the 3d effect. your 
icon is nice, but it's need to be 3d at least a little, as almost all of 
oxygen latest applications icon. I add a torn edges again, don't know if 
it better.
