I don't have Nvidia but intel on a dual-core intel core duo "2140 @1.60Ghz" 
system.

ffplay shows the video in slow-motion and only first CPU is used. I'm using 
the latest FFmpeg from svn with internal x264 without --enable-libx264  and 
with --enable-pthread option on configure.
