I'm sorry for bringing this topic up, but 4.2 is near.

As far as I can see in 4.2 Beta 1, there is still no way to set mount options
for each removable device manually (as it was in KDE 3.5 or it is currently in
Gnome).

There is no way to set mount options via HAL either, because this functionality
was deprecated long ago (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133456#c9).
So, there is no way to customize mount options for removable devices at all.
And there are not so few cases where it's needed.

Will something change in 4.2 release?
