      Hi Sheila,<br>
      <br>
      KDE Apps 20.12 and Ubuntu 20.12 are different things. They were
      released in the same month and by "coincidence" they have the same
      naming convention for releases.<br>
      <br>
      Since the KDE 20.12 apps were released at the same time as Ubuntu
      20.12 (December 2020) and since Ubuntu needs to prepare packages
      for the apps to include in the release months in advance, Ubuntu
      20.12 doesn't have the KDE Applications 20.12 release.<br>
      <br>
      The Ubuntu packages webpage can give us the versions. It looks
      like there is version 1.4 in <a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=focal&searchon=names&keywords=kdeconnect">Focal</a>
      (before we switched to using KDE Applications' release naming,
      equivalent to 19.12) and KDE Connect 20.08 in <a
        moz-do-not-send="true"
href="https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=groovy&searchon=names&keywords=kdeconnect">Groovy</a>.<br>
      <br>
      From a different mail on this thread Aishen says that KDE Connect
      20.12 is in the pre-release version of Ubuntu (<a
        moz-do-not-send="true"
href="https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=focal&searchon=names&keywords=kdeconnect">hirsute</a>).<br>
      <br>
      kdesrc-build is designed to be fairly painless so it could be an
      easy way to get this package updated. There used to be backport
      repos of KDE software for Kubuntu but it doesn't seem to be
      updated any more: <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
        href="https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ppa/+archive/ubuntu/backports"
        moz-do-not-send="true">https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ppa/+archive/ubuntu/backports</a><br>
      <br>
      P.S., (K)Ubuntu is a great desktop and server operating system if
      you want stability because of this policy of using old-but-stable
      versions of packages, but the downside is that you are stuck on
      those old-but-stable versions :(<br>
      <br>
      Thanks,<br>
